To whom it may concern:
I am writing in reference to Nancy Durgin. I worked with Nancy during my term on the Board of Directors of the Land Trust from October 1996 to March
1999. As the Director of Finance, Nancy was always very informative and assisted board members in understanding the very complex financial statements of the Land Trust.
On March 22, 1999, I was hired by the
Land Trust as a bookkeeper / property manager. Nancy Durgin was my supervisor. Although I had no experience in bookkeeping, with Nancy's instruction I have successfully met the challenge of handling the
day to day operations of the Land Trust, which currently manages 60 units of rental housing. This success is largely due to the excellent training I received from Nancy Durgin. During a very short
training period, Nancy was able to convey in a very clear, concise, and patient manner some of the very intricate details of non-profit accounting / bookkeeping.
Nancy is a pleasure to work with and I would highly
recommend her. I enjoyed working with her and she remains a valuable source of information and assistance.
Sincerely,
Mary Lewis, Property Manager, Laconia Area Community Land Trust, Inc.
